It won't happen again
Evie dangled her feet back and forth and even went so far as to pull her dress up, thereby allowing them to move a bit more freely. It also meant that she put some more skin on display for him to see, although it appeared innocent enough.
On to the matter of her prize, then.
“Well.” She said and tilted her head from one side to the other. “I would like His Royal Highness to come join me.”
Demanding that the prince climb a tree as a result of his loss was no doubt daring, which was why her request was followed by the most innocent smile she could gather.
“Unless you’re afraid, of course.” She quickly added, teasing him. “And I’m sure your royal father does not approve of his son and heir climbing trees.”
Neither did her lord father, to be quite frank. However he had long ago come to terms with the fact that his youngest daughter was a feral one.

If sleeping with married men was considered a talent then yes, his sister was awfully talented. No one at court could hold a candle to Andrea Romano in terms of such talents.
Her statement that no one would send for him did hold some truth, though. Luca rarely – if ever - slept with women of importance after he had found that such women expected more from him than servants and wenches in the pub would ever dare do. He also had a rule not to sleep with married women, unlike his sister who held no regard whatsoever to the bonds of matrimony. So, while his sister clearly meant her words as an insult, Luca did not receive them that way. As a matter of fact, by stating that such a difference between them existed it only made him all confident that he had chosen the right path in life because he would never want to be anything like her.
His sister left, luckily, only it left a downside in which he found himself alone with his father.
“That was a stupid thing you said.” Lucian began, voice cold as ice. “To the king.”
“An error in judgement, father.” Luca agreed. “I can assure you that it won’t happen again.”
“It better not.”
No threat followed but none was needed. He had heard it all before and as had Andy. Too many mistakes and he would disown them both and give his titles and land and fortunes to Evie. Sometimes, Luca wondered if he wanted them to fail him so that he could finally shine the spotlight on his favorite child.
Speaking of…
“Where is your little sister?” Lucian asked and Luca smiled slightly and leaned closer to him.
“With the prince, I would presume.” He whispered and this lured a smile out of the stiff old man. Evie was, no doubt, the only one in this world who could make Lucian Romano smile.
“Such a good girl she is.” His father patted him on the shoulder. “You could learn a thing or two from her.”
