My love

Still, the urge the prince felt to kiss her, along with the fact that she was denying him the pleasure of doing so, made his heart ache with longing. It only made him want her more. He sighed quietly at the prospect of the suitors. If he were a common man he would already have laid a claim on the girl, so it was understandable that others had done so too, although in the case of the prince a dark thought crept closer. He was, afterall, the prince. He could get rid of any person or obstacle in his way if he so wished. Prince Milo shook his head at this thought. No, he had taken an oath to never go that route in life. He would never play around with human life just because it suited or did not suit him.
"And if none of them were to find out?" He breathed lightly into her ear as he finally closed the gap between their bodies. There was no one but them in the garden and a kiss was innocent enough, even if someone did happen to catch them.

The queen was not a stupid woman. In fact, she understood affairs of the estate quite well, seeing as how involved she had been with them in her former country, Avdira. But the king preferred his wife to be quiet and beautiful. He wanted a dutiful wife and a queen that was not involved in anything more important than choosing dresses for balls. So, she played her role, and did it well. Although Lord Romanos words left a sour taste in her mouth. She did not approve of comments such as that, but in the presence of the king, she'd never say so. Instead, she sipped the sweet wine in her goblet and held it up for a refill after she finsihed it. Lexi could see the effect that the Romano's conversation was having on her husband. His hands were in fists and he had gone slightly red. It was clear that he was annoyed with the prospect of his mistress not being satisfied with having him. However, Lexi did not have time to asnwer the lord's question before the king spoke up.
"You would do well to hold your tongue in my presence" snapped the king and turned his dark eyes to the younger of the lords. His voice was cold as ice as he spoke and if looks could kill, Luca Romano's head would be on a silver platter. Lexi placed her hand softly on the king's arm and smiled gently.
"There there, my love, have some more wine" She smiled and her husband's eyes softened as she waved over a servant boy to fill the king's cup. Although the king was quick to anger, the queen had learnt how to divert that anger and had become quite good at it. The king took a sip of wine and then leaned in close to his wife's ear.
"I have changed my mind." He informed her. "I shall visit your bed tonight afterall" He concluded and then drank more wine. His wife smiled, a weight lifted off her shoulders.
"Nothing would bring me more pleasure" She smiled honestly. Maybe seeing his mistress with someone else had made him angry rather than jealous. Either way, Lexi was happy at the prospect. It meant a chance to carry a baby again, a prince.
