Certain
He was relieved that she kissed him back. So far, all they had shared had been a few harmless kisses. The movements of both of their bodies in that moment however, certainly didn’t feel harmless. Milo could already feel his body respond to Evie being so close.
And then she started undoing her dress. As it fell to the floor Milo couldn’t help himself. He doubted that any man in his situation would have been able to do anything but stare. She was absolutely stunning. From head to toe, all he saw was perfection.
He barely heard her words as she spoke, too busy taking in her beauty. Luckily, he did hear her and a wicked smile spread over his lips as he stood up, let the towel fall to the floor and lifted her up into his arms. Her legs automatically wrapped around his waist and Milo smiled, pleased with how smoothly it had all gone.
“As you wish… Evie” He smiled and then let his lips find hers once more. In that moment, in that room, they were simply Milo and Evie. Milo was not a prince, she was not a lady. He was not betrothed to another whom he’d be forced to marry and she was not in danger of scandal because she had lost her maidenhood to the prince. They were simply themselves, and, for now, each other’s.
As he stepped carefully into the water, their lips parted briefly and he found himself almost desperate for them again. Once they were both seated in the tub, water flowed from the sides of the bath as their bodies replaced the water that had been in it, but Milo couldn’t care any less. He pulled her onto his lap and placed a gentle hand behind her neck, guiding her back to his lips once more.
“Are you certain of this?” He then whispered softly, his lips still partially against hers, unable to let go completely.

Andy nodded slowly. The king was known for his temper. He would be completely calm in one moment only to have something push him over the edge the next. He had never harmed Andy, of course. He had never had a reason to. She was only ever a comfort. She wondered silently who would receive the blow of his anger for this.
As though he had read her mind, the servant answered her question: the blow would be to him. She drank more of her wine, hesitant to how much she should be discussing, how much she should trust him.
“Surely… Surely he will realise that the fault lies with the queen?” Even as she said the words, her face screwed up ever so slightly at the mention of Lexi. Andy couldn’t help but despise her. She was all that stood in the way of Andy and her destiny.
“And perhaps he will look kindly upon you, since you came after me?” She continued hopefully.
