Thank you

Did he believe her?
Evie was taken aback with the notion. The prince had seemed so very calm and collected that she had taken the liberty of assuming that he was waiting for an opportunity to annihilate her story in favor of his guard. It appeared she had been mistaken.
“Yes.” She admitted and her arms fell to her sides, her defenses completely shut down by his slight and unexpected amusement.
Her eyes traced him as he headed for the door but she kept her distance and watched it unfold from the safety of the modest room. The prince took immediate action and it was nearly impossible for her to contain her smile when the man was stripped of his title and banished.
He deserved the punishments given but Evie still found herself disappointed at the prospect of him walking away physically unharmed, his scrotum excluded.
As if the valiant prince had read her mind, he gave the man a punch right in the face and in that moment, Evie failed to keep her smile at bay. So, when the door slammed shut and the prince turned back to her, she looked far happier than this situation would allow.
“That was…” Her eyes locked on his naked torso. With the threat disposed of and the prince actually believing her, she was finally given an opportunity to fully enjoy the view. Yet, she did not take it. After having barged in there and being improperly demanding and cocky, she apprehended that she might be singing on her last tune with the prince. It might be time for her to behave like a lady.
She took one step closer to him, lips parted but no words escaping her for many seconds.
“Thank you.” And, as a show of respect, she bowed her head. The smile had disappeared about as quickly as it had appeared. “Your Highness.”

That was all.
Jasper nodded and took another quick look around. The majority of the guests in the pub were men but so far, no one seemed too interested in neither him or the lady. They were busy talking to each other, laughing and drinking. It actually didn’t look all that bad.
“Oh?” He had not expected an invitation to sit, but it had him smile and nod. “Of course not, My Lady. I will accompany for as long as needed. Gladly, I might add.”
He feared that he might have gone a bit overboard with that last part and quickly sat down, praying that neither his words nor the fact that she had to spend time with a servant would make her all too uncomfortable.
“The food will be here shortly.” He said, before realizing that he had already informed her of that upon arrival and now he looked like damn fool. Still, he smiled, and once more prayed that he would not make her uncomfortable.
“And once the storm settles, I will take you to your home.” He just… Didn’t know where her home was. So, she would have to take him to her home so he could drop her of there and then he’d just have to somehow find a way back to the castle.
